The tables designed for Vassar College added a new interpretation to the dialectical relationship between top and base developed by Eero Saarinen in previous projects . The elegant lines of the base curves are enhanced by the transparency of the glass top . Since 2006, Matrix International produces exclusively the tables , both in coffee lower version than high dining .
